Balancing multiple roles, Tarah Davidson finds strength and purpose while journeying through life’s darkest chapters .
To get our readers familiar with you, tell us a little about yourself and the path that led you to becoming a thriving entrepreneur in your industry.
I am a woman who has worn many hats—protector, provider, mother, small business owner, and leader—all while navigating some of the darkest moments of my life. I know what it means to balance the weight of womanhood, motherhood, marriage, divorce, relationships, home, and career, often all at once. But through it all, I discovered something powerful: I wasn’t just surviving—I was being called to live with intention, purpose, and gratitude.
My journey hasn’t been picture-perfect. I’ve faced near-death experiences, heartbreak, and moments that tested my strength, but those very trials shaped the woman I am today. I wanted to build what I felt I needed. Through Tarah Davidson Wellness, I have created spaces for healing, self-discovery, and empowerment. I have a few new ventures, one being Positive Focus Holistic, an eSchool designed to provide transformative courses and a thriving wellness community—a Soul Family for those seeking growth and connection. Sometimes, opening up to someone can feel overwhelming, but these short, impactful courses serve as an accessible and powerful starting point for those ready to begin their healing journey.
I’m excited to share that I’ve started a podcast! I was a ball of nerves about it, but in true Tarah fashion, I did it anyway—because you never know who might need it. It’s called BTWN LVRS: Kicking it with Tee, a solo podcast featuring bite-sized episodes.
The recent series which was originally planned as a book, is an intimate exploration of love, healing, and self-discovery. Life is a journey filled with complexities—longing, growth, transformation—and in the spaces between who we were and who we’re becoming, we find meaning. In this series, we dive into the depths of human connection, exploring the beauty and struggles of relationships—not just with others, but with ourselves. Through storytelling, reflection, and honest conversations, BTWN LVRS: The Inner Journey offers a space to navigate love in all its forms: romantic, platonic, and self-love.
We explore stories of life, resilience, heartbreak, and healing, reminding us that growth is not linear and that every part of the journey matters. Whether you’re seeking clarity, connection, or simply a moment of reflection, this podcast is an invitation to go inward—to explore, to feel, and to embrace the transformation unfolding within you.
I am a champion for everyone to find their highest self and become a person they are truly in love with. Healing isn’t just about getting by—it’s about thriving, stepping fully into your power, and knowing that you are enough. That journey takes nurturing, patience, compassion, and often, a form of re-parenting—giving ourselves the love and guidance we may not have received before.
Through my books, Loving Discovery and Healing Discovery, my new book which is set to be completed next month, my courses, the wellness community, and now my podcast, I invite others into the raw, honest journey of healing and self-love. My work isn’t just about inspiration—it’s about real, lasting transformation.
I’m not here to play small. I’m here to uplift, to guide, and to remind every person that they are worthy of the life they dream of. Because if I can rise from the ashes and rebuild with purpose, so can you.
Sometimes we need those transformative moments that completely shift everything. Can you share a pivotal moment in your entrepreneurial journey and how it shaped your approach moving forward?
Sometimes, we need those transformative moments that completely shift everything. For me, that moment spanned two years—2021 to 2022—when life forced me to confront challenges I never saw coming. My lung spontaneously collapsed due to a rare genetic disorder, leading to multiple emergency thoracic surgeries. As I was fighting for my health, I was also navigating a divorce, enduring a nervous breakdown, and ultimately, walking the long road of recovery—physically, emotionally, and mentally.
While I’ve had many ups and downs in life—facing deeply impactful trauma in both childhood and adulthood that led me to my desire to help as many people as possible—this moment was clarifying for me as a human. It forced me to slow down, to reflect, and to truly understand what it means to start over—not from a place of loss, but from a place of power. I suddenly understood, on the deepest level, what many of my clients go through—what it truly means to face societal expectations as a divorced woman with children, to redefine happiness, and to reclaim personal power. My recovery wasn’t just about healing my body; it was about taking back my energy, rewriting my story, and proving to myself that I had full control over my life.
This pivotal moment shaped how I approach my work today. It’s why Positive Focus Holistic isn’t just an eSchool—it’s a sanctuary for real transformation. It’s why I focus on mental and emotional strength, self-reliance, and the power of joy, even after loss. Because I’ve lived it. I know what it takes to rebuild, and now, I help others do the same.
“Ultimately, I stay accountable because I believe in what I do. My goals aren’t just about business growth; they’re about life growth. They reflect the balance I’ve created—one where passion, purpose, and freedom all exist in harmony.”
How do you approach goal-setting for your business to keep it the success that it is? What methods help you stay accountable?
I approach goal-setting for Tarah Davidson Wellness and Positive Focus Holistic with a blend of intention, strategy, and autonomy. Success isn’t just about setting goals—it’s about setting aligned goals that reflect my mission, my values, and the kind of life I want to live. Time autonomy is crucial to me. As a mother, my time and energy matter just as much as my impact. That’s why I created a personal mantra: “I do not labor for money.” My life, passion, and work are reflective of this philosophy, and because of that, everything has been working in my favor—with love and joy in tow.
Some people might call that woo-woo, but I’ve learned that I have way more control over my life than I once believed. I no longer live in a cycle of chasing—I cultivate my life on purpose. I set meaningful goals that are about alignment, not exhaustion.
To stay accountable, I rely on:
• Quarterly Vision Planning – Breaking down long-term goals into actionable steps, ensuring they align with my personal and professional mission.
• Daily & Weekly Non-Negotiables – Prioritizing what moves me forward while keeping space for creativity and flow.
• Authentic Self-Reflection – Checking in with myself regularly to ensure my goals still resonate. If something no longer serves me, I adjust without hesitation.
• Attraction Over Chase – I don’t run after success—I attract it by staying aligned with my purpose and showing up with intention.
Ultimately, I stay accountable because I believe in what I do. My goals aren’t just about business growth; they’re about life growth. They reflect the balance I’ve created—one where passion, purpose, and freedom all exist in harmony.
As an entrepreneur, what systems have you put in place to manage your physical and mental health to maintain focus in your business?
As an entrepreneur, maintaining my physical and mental health is non-negotiable. I’ve learned that if I’m not well—mentally, emotionally, or physically—then neither is my business. That’s why I’ve put systems in place to keep me grounded, focused, and fully present in both my work and personal life.
I prioritize therapy maintenance sessions to process and reflect, ensuring I stay in alignment with my purpose. Meditation and spending time in silence help me quiet the noise, reconnect with myself, and move with intention. Tai chi, yoga, and Pilates keep my body strong and flexible, while reading, watching documentaries, and writing fuel my mind and creativity. Spending time with my loved ones keeps me connected to what truly matters, reminding me why I do this work in the first place. And because I know the power of light and nature, I make sure to take in sunshine each morning or use my therapy lamp on cloudy days—a small but powerful ritual that sets the tone for my day.
These practices aren’t just hobbies; they are essential systems that allow me to show up as my best self. They help me maintain clarity, avoid burnout, and ensure that my energy is spent wisely—on what truly matters.
Some people look at the glass as half-empty, while others see it as half-full. In this digital era, how do you differentiate your business in seemingly oversaturated markets?
In a world where wellness and self-improvement spaces can feel oversaturated, I differentiate Tarah Davidson Wellness and Positive Focus Holistic by focusing on real transformation—not just surface-level motivation. Many people offer inspiration, but I aim to provide practical, actionable tools that help individuals build true emotional and mental fortitude. My approach isn’t about creating dependency on a coach, a guru, or even a program—it’s about empowering people to stand on their own, fully in love with themselves and their journey.
I don’t aim to be the most popular—I aim to be effective. As a trusted clinician, my focus is on being my best and most authentic self, creating spaces for real change. That sometimes means telling people what they need to hear, rather than what they want to hear. And I know that’s not always easy—change makes people uncomfortable. But change is necessary for growth, healing, and stepping into the life you truly deserve.
In this digital era, where quick fixes and overnight success stories are constantly being sold, I emphasize depth over hype. My courses are intentionally designed to be short and impactful, making healing and self-discovery accessible, even for those who struggle to open up. The Positive Focus Holistic community is more than just an online space—it’s created to be a Soul Family, a safe and nurturing environment where people can connect, learn, and grow together without judgment.
What sets my work apart is that I live what I teach. Being both student and teacher keeps me open and humble. I’ve been through the fire—surviving trauma, rebuilding after loss, and redefining happiness on my own terms. I don’t just share theories; I share lived experiences and proven strategies for lasting change. In a world full of noise, I focus on substance, creating spaces where people don’t just consume information—they transform their lives.
What has been the most impactful part of your journey? What can others learn from your experience?
The most impactful part of my journey has been the realization that everything I need is already within me. My life was moving in one direction, and then—psychological cataclysm. I was thrust into unknown territory, forced to navigate life in a way I never had before. It was terrifying, but it was also the awakening I didn’t know I needed.
Society teaches us codependency—on people, systems, external validation. But true strength? That comes from within. I had to unlearn the belief that my stability and happiness depended on anything outside of myself. I had to rebuild from the inside out, learning to trust my own wisdom, my own resilience.
What I want other women to take from my experience is this: You are your own greatest source of power. Life will shift. Things will fall apart. But you are never without what you need. The key is learning to depend on yourself—not out of fear, but out of confidence. Once you realize that, there is nothing you cannot handle.
